For over 200 years, the Scala family has been tending to their 18-hectare estate in Calabria, and today Luigi Scala and his son Francesco continue that legacy. Proud champions of local grape varieties, they create wines that honour their Calabrian heritage while blending traditional methods with modern viticulture. Certified organic since 2016, their approach to sustainable farming runs deep, and it shows in the quality of their wines.
This particular gem, made from 100% Gaglioppo (a rare indigenous grape), bursts with an inviting fragrance. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in concrete, it preserves the fresh, aromatic character of the fruit. Expect ripe red and dark fruits, balanced by crisp acidity and soft, integrated tannins. Rustic yet charming, the wine offers flavours of sour cherry, plum, dried tea, and a hint of sun-dried tomato. Robust, persistent, and full of personality, it's a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with hearty dishes.

Shipping should be automatically adjusted depending on your postcode. Free delivery covers all Liverpool postcodes, and the following Cheshire postcodes: CH41-49, CH60-63.

Delivery Times
We will look to have your delivery with you within 3 working days of receiving the order but please ask if you need it by a certain date and we'll do our best.
Vintages
We will endeavour to deliver vintages as advertised but they often change faster than we can update (we're pretty slow). So, again, it may be wise to confirm before ordering if you're in need of something particular. Please note: Some bottle images may not show the current vintage.
Surcharges
Surcharges often apply to deliveries outside mainland England so wise to confirm before you order. Indeed, Northern Ireland is beyond us unless shipping charges agreed beforehand.
