Lodi is Zinfandel country, and Prototype Zinfandel showcases everything that makes this region a powerhouse for the grape. Produced by Prototype Wines, a winery focused on small-batch, site-driven expressions of classic Californian varietals, this Zinfandel is sourced from old, low-yielding vines, delivering incredible concentration and depth.
Brimming with ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and plums, it’s layered with warming spice, vanilla, and a touch of smoky oak. Aged in a mix of American and French oak barrels, the wine develops a rich, velvety texture, while careful vineyard management and minimal intervention winemaking preserve the pure fruit character and vibrant acidity.
The palate is full-bodied and plush, with silky tannins and a long, smooth finish, carrying hints of cocoa, baking spices, and black pepper. Balanced yet bold, this classic Lodi Zinfandel is perfect for barbecue, grilled meats, or just sipping by the fire.

Shipping should be automatically adjusted depending on your postcode. Free delivery covers all Liverpool postcodes, and the following Cheshire postcodes: CH41-49, CH60-63.

Vintages
We will endeavour to deliver vintages as advertised but they often change faster than we can update (we're pretty slow). So, again, it may be wise to confirm before ordering if you're in need of something particular. Please note: Some bottle images may not show the current vintage.
Surcharges
Surcharges often apply to deliveries outside mainland England so wise to confirm before you order. Indeed, Northern Ireland is beyond us unless shipping charges agreed beforehand.
