Maias Tinto is a standout red wine from the elevated vineyards of Dão, where the unique blend of altitude and granitic soils imparts an exceptional succulence to the grapes. At approximately 650 metres, this blend, predominantly Jaen (Tinta Mencia), showcases deliciously crunchy, fresh fruit in a medium-bodied style.
Named after the local Weaver’s Broom plant, whose vibrant yellow flowers bloom in May, Maias Tinto is a true reflection of its surroundings. The wine boasts a perfectly clear ruby hue, bright and inviting. The nose bursts with an intense bouquet of fresh wild blackberries, plums, and cassis, offering a vibrant and aromatic experience.
On the palate, Maias Tinto reveals a robust structure, with youthful energy and natural astringency, balanced by elegant tannins. It finishes with a long, satisfying aftertaste, leaving a lasting impression of its powerful yet refined character. A delightful representation of the Dão region

Please let us know if you would like a specific note included with your order. We tend to wrap all bottles in paper and reuse wine cases for shipping to keep our carbon footprint low.
Shipping Costs
Shipping should be automatically adjusted depending on your postcode. Free delivery covers all Liverpool postcodes, and the following Cheshire postcodes: CH41-49, CH60-63.

Delivery Times

Vintages
We will endeavour to deliver vintages as advertised but they often change faster than we can update (we're pretty slow). So, again, it may be wise to confirm before ordering if you're in need of something particular. Please note: Some bottle images may not show the current vintage.
Surcharges
Surcharges often apply to deliveries outside mainland England so wise to confirm before you order. Indeed, Northern Ireland is beyond us unless shipping charges agreed beforehand.
