Crafted in the heart of Austria's Burgenland, this biodynamic blend of Zweigelt and St Laurent from Judith Beck embodies the essence of Austrian winemaking. Dark ruby in hue with a medium-weight, silky texture, it offers a dense appearance but surprises with its refreshing hint of minerality. The soft, dark fruit flavors are beautifully balanced by subtle earthy and spicy nuances, creating a characterful and eminently drinkable wine.
Produced according to biodynamic principles, Judith Beck's expertise shines through in every sip. With wild yeasts, no filtration, and minimal sulfur, this wine captures the pure essence of black fruit, violets, and pronounced black pepper notes. Beck's journey from Bordeaux and Chile back to her native Austria adds depth to her winemaking philosophy. Now managing the family winery covering 15 hectares in Gols, Burgenland, Beck's commitment to biodynamic farming since 2007 has led to the cultivation of healthy soils and the focus on native varieties, with a sprinkle of international ones for good measure.
This Zweigelt and St. Laurent blend, with its brambly fruit and herbal spice, is another testament to Beck's skill. It offers both depth of flavor and a refreshing lift, making it a go-to choice for any occasion. With minimal intervention and a dedication to quality, Beck's wines consistently offer outstanding value in the region. Don't miss out on this exceptional expression of Austrian winemaking prowess.
