Salcheto’s Chianti Biskero offers a refined, everyday pleasure, steeped in the soul of Vino Nobile and crafted with meticulous care. Named after the Salcheto stream that runs through its 21-hectare estate in Montepulciano, this wine is a testament to organic farming and traditional winemaking. Salcheto is certified organic, and their commitment to purity is evident in every step of production: hand-harvested grapes, native yeasts, and no added sulphites.
The wine undergoes fermentation with native yeasts, followed by a maturation process where 30% is aged in 300-litre American oak Tonneaux for 4 months. After this, it rests in the bottle for an additional 3 months before release. The result is a harmonious blend of Sangiovese (85%), with Canaiolo and Mammolo rounding out the profile.
In the glass, Chianti Biskero reveals enticing aromas of dark red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of licorice, complemented by crushed flowers and a touch of spice. It’s a mid-weight Chianti that’s perfect for enjoying over the next 2-3 years.

Shipping should be automatically adjusted depending on your postcode. Free delivery covers all Liverpool postcodes, and the following Cheshire postcodes: CH41-49, CH60-63.

Vintages
We will endeavour to deliver vintages as advertised but they often change faster than we can update (we're pretty slow). So, again, it may be wise to confirm before ordering if you're in need of something particular. Please note: Some bottle images may not show the current vintage.
Surcharges
Surcharges often apply to deliveries outside mainland England so wise to confirm before you order. Indeed, Northern Ireland is beyond us unless shipping charges agreed beforehand.
