Brio is everything you love about Sangiovese, straight from the rolling hills of Scansano, Tuscany. Grown in one of Italy’s most unique microclimates, this wine captures the freshness and vibrancy of the region. The vineyards sit at 150 metres above sea level, just 20 kilometres from the Tyrrhenian Sea, where the altitude, south-west exposure, and rich volcanic soils work their magic on the grapes.

Brio is a medium-bodied red, aged for several months in large oak casks to give it depth while keeping it fresh. The result? A beautifully balanced wine that’s all about savoury flavours and soft tannins. The dense ruby red colour hints at what’s to come: fragrant floral aromas, red berries, and cherries with a touch of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it’s juicy and fresh with a lovely acidity, keeping it lively while still offering those classic Sangiovese notes of plum and cherry.

There’s a subtle herbaceous edge and a bit of earthiness, grounding the fruitiness, and the finish is long and satisfying. Grown in a wild part of Montalcino, this wine benefits from its hillside vineyards surrounding an old castle—adding a little extra charm to every sip.

Perfect for a casual night in with pasta or pizza, or even with a simple cheese board, Brio is 100% Sangiovese, 100% Tuscan, and 100% delicious.

Please let us know if you would like a specific note included with your order. We tend to wrap all bottles in paper and reuse wine cases for shipping to keep our carbon footprint low.

Delivery Times

We will look to have your delivery with you within 3 working days of receiving the order but please ask if you need it by a certain date and we'll do our best.

Vintages

We will endeavour to deliver vintages as advertised but they often change faster than we can update (we're pretty slow). So, again, it may be wise to confirm before ordering if you're in need of something particular. Please note: Some bottle images may not show the current vintage.

Surcharges

Surcharges often apply to deliveries outside mainland England so wise to confirm before you order. Indeed, Northern Ireland is beyond us unless shipping charges agreed beforehand.
