At Quinta da Raza, tradition and innovation meet in the rugged, mountainous sub-region of Celorico do Basto. Established in 1791 by Diogo's forebears, today the estate is run by Diogo and his wife Mafalda, who oversee 40 hectares of prime vineyard. Their Padeiro rosé is a true testament to their craft – a wine born from the lesser-known red grape variety that thrives in this unique terroir. Sheltered at 250m altitude with granite and schist soils, these light-skinned grapes lend themselves perfectly to a little skin contact, resulting in a fresh, crisp rosé that's hard to resist.
This rosé bursts with light red berry flavours, balanced by a hint of wildness that adds character. It’s crisp, lively, and refreshing, yet has a textural complexity that makes it far more than just a summer sipper. Ideal for pairing with a wide range of foods, from fresh salads to grilled seafood, its bright acidity and structured finish make it a versatile companion. Whether you’re enjoying a casual gathering or a special occasion, Quinta da Raza’s rosé offers elegance with an adventurous edge.
