Passagem is a stunning 100-hectare estate along the serene riverside banks of the Douro Superior, where tradition and modern winemaking meet. Owned by the Bergqvist Family, descendants of the Feueheerds with a Port legacy dating back to 1815, the estate is a joint venture with acclaimed winemaker Jorge Moreira, twice named Portugal’s Best Winemaker. Its vineyards span altitudes from sea level up to 500 meters, on sun-drenched, west-facing schist slopes that produce naturally concentrated, low-yielding fruit.

The Passagem Tinto is made from Touriga Nacional sourced from north-west facing vines. Grapes are hand-picked and vinified in stainless steel, with careful pumping over early in fermentation, and gentler handling as the week progresses. The wine then matures for 12 months in French barriques. Intense ruby in colour, it shows complex aromas of woodland fruits, violets, and subtle vegetal notes. On the palate it is generous and expressive, with vibrant energy, excellent length, and beautifully integrated structure.

Please let us know if you would like a specific note included with your order. We tend to wrap all bottles in paper and reuse wine cases for shipping to keep our carbon footprint low.
Shipping should be automatically adjusted depending on your postcode. Free delivery covers all Liverpool postcodes, and the following Cheshire postcodes: CH41-49, CH60-63. Find out more on our Deliveries page.
We will look to have your delivery with you within 3 working days of receiving the order but please ask if you need it by a certain date and we'll do our best.
We will endeavour to deliver vintages as advertised but they often change faster than we can update (we're pretty slow). So, again, it may be wise to confirm before ordering if you're in need of something particular. Please note: Some bottle images may not show the current vintage.
Surcharges often apply to deliveries outside mainland England so wise to confirm before you order. Indeed, Northern Ireland is beyond us unless shipping charges agreed beforehand.
