Jean-Paul Brun has been a staple at R&H Fine Wines for as long as we can remember—a winemaker whose wines embody everything we love about Beaujolais. Based in Charnay, in the southern part of the region, Brun founded Domaine des Terres Dorées in the 1970s with a commitment to crafting Beaujolais of real depth, purity, and character.

A staunch believer in traditional methods, he champions natural fermentation with wild yeasts, minimal intervention, and a focus on expressing the Gamay grape in its most honest form. While much of Beaujolais follows carbonic maceration, Brun takes a Burgundian approach, fermenting his wines like Pinot Noir to bring out structure, finesse, and a sense of place.

The result? Exquisite, honest wines—no more, no less. From his benchmark Beaujolais l’Ancien to the expressive Cru bottlings, each wine speaks of its terroir with vibrancy and precision.
